    One of my favourite bars / speakeasies in NYC, lively ambience. Solid cocktails. The evening I was there a band was tucked into a corner complementing and not dominating the ambience!

    love the vibe here - it's unique and romantic. the live jazz music is a huge plus and the drinks are great (tell the bartender the kind of drink you like and trust him/her with it!)

    This is my go to cocktail spot for when I have visitors to entertain from out of town. It's super cozy with great music that's quiet enough for you to hold a conversation.

    This is a bar for grown-ups. The music is subdued, the crowd is well-dressed and well-behaved, the staff is polite, the original drinks are masterfully crafted by the mixologists behind the counter.

    Amazing cocktails that you don't even have to order. Just tell them what you like and let them do the rest. I've never had a bad drink here. They've opened my taste buds to all kinds of new drinks.

    Very knowledgeable bartender with great recommendations. Fun to watch the bartenders make drinks, but if you can get a table, even better. It's cash only.

    Finding this underground speakeasy in the West Village is half the battle, but you'll be rewarded with excellent cocktails, such as the Bee's Knees. Ask for the Bartender's Choice if unsure.

    The line is definitely worth it - I would trust these bartenders with anything. They always make the perfect drink for my mood and tastes. Stellar hang out for a young, affluent crowd

    Got here around 6:30 on a Tuesday and it wasn’t crowded at all. They had great drinks and live music later in the night. Very cozy and romantic spot.

    Dimly lit underground bar, with live jazz on weekdays (sun-thu) from 10:30pm. Gets very busy on the weekends. Awesome cocktails. Cash only.

    Hard to get into on the weekends but a fun speakeasy with knowledgeable bartenders. If you don't find something on the menu just let them know what you usually like and let them create a drink!

    Get there by 7pm to avoid having to wait in line. Let the mixologist do their thing just tell them what spirits you like. Great music. Unlimited nuts and pretzels with your drinks.

    Come when there's live music, because the drinks are $14 and for that kind of money I shouldn't be seeing college kids dressed in their Hollister pajamas. Cocktails are obviously amazing here.

    Feels like you are back in the 1950’s. Great atmosphere, amazing cocktails and the friendliest staff. One of my all favorite spot in NYC.

    One of our ten best Manhattan bars-The bartender will whittle you a perfectly spherical ice ball for your Old Fashioned right before your eyes. A jazz trio keeps the place hopping.

    Always packed and might not be super comfortable/spacious, but the bartenders are great and know their drinks. Just tell them what tastes you like and they'll put an amazing drink together for you.

    underground speakeasy behind a nondescript door, they make their own ginger beer which is *spicy* & delicious! once was told by an employee that they were the inspiration for bourbon and branch in SF.

    Fun place to go for a subterranean, speakeasy experience. Dim lighting, cozy booths, and live jazz provide for an intimate setting. Great bartenders serving a variety of cocktails. Cash only.

    Great small Mexican food spot, right off the 1 train. Guacamole was okay, definitely get the margarita especial and the shrimp and pineapple quesadilla. Don't forget to try to spicy chips and salsas

    Feels like a 1920 bar in a basement. Little branch was excellent a couple years ago, but quality of drinks has gone down recently... If you want SERIOUS good cocktails, try milk & honey (same owner)!

    The bartenders serve up tasty, strong drinks but it’s a packed, hot, dark environment. I’d recommend going earlier on a weekday, not 11 on a Friday.

    One of our original favorites in NYC, Little Branch never fails to disappoint. Go early or (very) late to avoid the crowds. Also: live jazz during the week.

    Great cocktails here. Let the bartender know what you like and they’ll create a cocktail designed for you. Look for the door at the corner with no sign on the SW corner of 7th Ave South and Leroy.

    Amazing mixologists behind the bar. Not sure what you want? Just ask your waiter / waitress and they'll recommend something that doesn't disappoint.

    Come on a weekday, not too late, and snag a table. Bring lots of cash and let the night slip into a hazy, jazz filled euphoria. Tell your boss you'll be a bit late in the morning.

    I have two favorite things about this place: the tightly squeezed in jazz trio and the custom made piece of ice for each drink. I don't like the queue that builds outside the door, it's an eyesore.
