Excellent place for brunch and a much different vibe than most JC joints. Eggs benedict with salmon? Awesome. Crepes w/ lemon or nutella? Also awesome! Gipsy jazz on Thurs evenings, too.
Nice little addition to the Paulus Hook neighborhood (replacing Kitchen Cafe). Lunch specials are a good deal - try any of the kebabs with the spicy vegetable spread. Decent baba and jajik as well.
Succulent, addictive rotisserie chicken with a lot of well-done Turkish/middle eastern side dishes. Lunch is probably better as rotisserie can be sold out by dinnertime
Order some great fish tacos, and try the nopales (cactus) ones, too. Accompany them with a cerveza and admire the homage to hair bands galore all over the walls.
The vibe of this place drastically changed with new ownership earlier this year. Much less emphasis on being a mellow wine lounge and more on being a hip bar with louder live music many nights.
Great, chill coffeehouse in the Powerhouse Arts District with Thursday movie nights. Try the Bola Catalana (meatloaf) sandwich - tasty and savory.
