    Take is the gorgeous panoramic view of the bay. The Bay Bridge, East Bay, Alcatraz, Angel Island, and the Golden Gate Bridge can all be seen from here. And of course, watch the sea lions!

    One of the most lively areas of SF. A lot of tourists but it worths a walk around. Nice restaurants and colourful shops.

    Pier 39 is located on the northernmost point of San Francisco’s peninsula. From the pier, you can see Alcatraz Island, the Golden Gate and Bay Bridges, San Francisco Bay, and the city skyline.

    I could never get tired of this place. I always start at the Embarcadero and walk through the piers, great exercise and nice scenery. Many dining places to choose from as well as sight see.

    This place is a circus! 😱 Walk around along the outside of the pier for a less noisy and crowded experience. The sea lions are worth a visit.

    Super crowded and touristy, but you can find a restaurant wth good views and I highly recommend Trish's mini donuts.

    sea lions! there is a place that you can join going to fishing near by if you get early enough. i think it was only 20 or less to go. Also for 15 you can cruise. about 1hr or less ride. nice stuff

    Big bus states last bus from here is 7.04pm... is a big lie! Last bus from union square is 5pm so no guarantee u will see a bus at 7pm here...

    A melhor época pra ver os leões marinhos é no verão ou outono. Pegue o bondinho amarelo ( $ 1.50 trocados)  até o Pier 1 que é o Ferry Building.

    Yeah, its a tourist trap, but its my kind of trap! Still love the pier, nice shops, lots of chocolate. 3D Rides are always fun, and its fairly safe even at night.
