We started off early, leaving the carpark before 7am. Reached the temple gate by 10am. After touring the temples, it was crowded everywhere (temple grounds & stairs) as we made our way back to base
3-4 hours climb up to monastery. Bring some umbrella during summer time because of raining. Bring hiking shoes and make sure to bring climbing stick or buy wooden stick at the staring point.
Horses or no-find a way to get to the #Tiger'sNest! If your guide's esp devout, you might get into an upper room (gen off-limits) so you ask a monk about Buddhism. A life high point!
Start as early as possible, according to the guide it is 5.2 kms long and a total elevation of 950 metres. The last part can be challenging with 450 steps to descend and 250 steps yo ascend.
First, you need to obtain a visa to travel to Bhutan. Once you overcome that hurdle, Paro Taktsang is a Tibetan Buddhist temple located on the side of a mountain in the Paro Valley. Amazing hike.
During winter, pack an extra pair of socks. The temple floors are ice cold, and since you have to remove your shoes to enter them, the extra socks offer a bit more insulation 👍🏼
During winter season, dress to easily add/remove layers. While the trekking exertion may warm you up, you can cool quickly during rests & leisurely strolls 😊
Everyone says don't take the horses, but the ride is an adventure of its own! The wooden saddles can be hard to get used to, as can the steep terrain and precarious footing. Either way, you hike down.
Every bit as amazing as people say. Earn more merits by skipping the horses and walking the whole way. Make sure to stop every now and then on the way there and back to admire the incredible scenery.
It is the most sacred temple in Bhutan and hangs on a precipitous cliff at 900 metres (3,000 ft) above the valley. The view from the temple is amazing and simply beautiful!!!
It is a small monastery hung far up on a cliff overlooking a spectacular valley. It is also one of thirteen small monasteries or "tiger's lairs" where the Guru Rinpoche or "Precious Master"
Bring jacket because its really cold up here. Dont use other than hiking shoes because its slippery. Make sure to step only at rocks when raining as its slippery.
Old people dont try this as u might get it hard to get back. Horses are there only when climbing up. Beware of horses landmine. Long sleeve's compulsary as u might not be allowed to get in without it.

Make sure you're with your tour guide - or, this is more relevant for travellers, you're carrying your permit / passport with you. Technically, you'll not be allowed entry without it.
