Hertz car rental is located right in the airport parking lot, so no need to take a rental shuttle if you rent from Hertz
Best airport in the world in terms of clear signage, efficiency, decor, and flight options.
Starskreem TAgustus 31, 2016A really clean and well kept airport. Ignore the lounges and look for the calm seating area by the pond. The free wifi is decent too. Restaurants past check in are unfounded a refurb at the moment.

Pleased to see YVR stopped dedicating 100 wheelchairs & staff to assist incoming foreigners from the plane to immigration. Because that kinda seemed parasitic. Oops! Did I just say that?? Thanks YVR.
KevinJuni 30, 2013Buy a book of Translink tickets or a day pass from the 7/11 (one floor below domestic arrivals) to avoid paying an extra $5 for a one way ticket to downtown at the sky train platform.
Free wifi has always been the norm at airports. However YVR had it early. If your airport durst have free wifi. Speak up.
The Canada Line train goes downtown and runs every few minutes. Walking distance from most major hotels downtown.
Take the sky train to Vancouver City center and easy arrive to Robson street

Passbook is the way to go for e-boarding paases. Going green is super easy!
If you plan to pack a bottle of wine in your check in bag, make sure it's in a sealed bag and wrapped with layers of towel!

SukiOktober 6, 2013Be prepared to get questioned after almost 20hrs flight.. The customs is so strict and scary here, threatening to send people back to their country if you are not answering their questions clearly.
If they give you one of these stickers on your boarding pass you can use the Nexus line at security even if you don't have a Nexus card

Air Canada domestic check in is a breeze. Self-tag your bag, they scan it, drop it on a conveyer belt. It seems like there's never any lineup.
