Follow painted lobsters to Lobster Pound (only 4 steamed lobsters, clams & soups). Skip Soups-watery & lacking in taste. Great steamed Littlenecks + lobsters but wish U got ur pick of M or F lobster.
Pricier but worth it! Came bk 2x in 1 trip 4 nice S. Freeport H2Ofront views & lobsta, crab & scallop rolls + great steamed Littlenecks + lobsters. Skip soups, fries & slaw. Best ONION Rings+MIDDLES!

Lobsters and steamers are amazing! Also the lobster roll and haddock sandwich are delicious. Ask to try all the dips!!
Known for their #1 of Maine-style lobster roll (w/ 1 WHOLE lobster), this roadside shack in Wiscasset (right before crossing bridge E to Edgecomb) can't be missed..1-hr long line just to order!
#1 of Maine-style lobster roll (w/ 1 WHOLE lobster)! 2nd fave: Grilled Haddock sandwich. Scallops were very fresh & onion rings ok..except batter was too thick. Mayoey crab roll w/ lotsa meat.
Good NE clam chowda, cole slaw & lobster roll (1/4 or 1/2 lb meat). Stars are fried scallops, onion rings & lobster stew (more watery lobster bisque w/ tons of meat). Trying Strawberry cake next time

No frills shack. Chowda’s watery & oily but full of fish, clams & potato..better w/ crackers added. Get 1 of NE’s best Crab or Double (1/2 lb good for 2) Lobster rolls on perfectly buttered split-tops
Located in Perkins Cove w/ lovely views. OK Dry, low-fat Cole Slaw w/o mayo or too much vinegar. Didn’t get a chance to try their talked-about potato salad but Corn (from FL) on the Cob was good.
Be sure to arrive early to grab a table out on the deck & the view ...especially on a nice day!
