Little old painted church. worth a look when town for other outdoor based reasons.
In summer great for a lift up to the top and than walk all the way back down. Makes for a great easy hike.
The breakfast is epic with delicious pancakes. Dinner is fine, nothing exceptional but a decent choice if you don’t want to head into town.
Wonderful big hotel - great design and spacious rooms with a view (even if over the parking lot). Great pool and sauna as well.
Old mining site with interesting exhibits. Good hiking starting place. Recommend hiking to Byxtjarn - easy hike about two hours round trip with nice payoff and views.

Idyllic mountain village that is a great starting point for long hikes in the woods and lakes that are fairly well marked. Visit in July when the lupines are in bloom and explosions of color.
Love the shaded outdoor area to bring kids and set up for early afternoon visits with friends. Better beer selection if you order inside. The fried avocado tacos are killer.
Solid place for dinner on Atlantic. Food isn’t remarkable but is well done and nice atmosphere.
Decent bar food. Shells and cheese is a good choice as is burger and beer.
Nice park and grounds to explore. Makes a nice roadside stop while driving thru the middle of Sweden. Cafe is a bit of a mess.
Exceptional location in a beautiful village. Cabins are luxurious with private sauna. Dinner on the terrace with amazing views and local food like moose and couldberries. Lots of great hikes nearby.
Great coffee and espresso in the Heights. Fast and friendly service. Grab it to go before heading to the promenade.
The view of NYC that is in your dreams as you always want the city to be. Magical at night and at sunset.
So many train cars and exhibits for kids to explore. Really neat history of the city as told thru transportation. Can be hot in the summer as tracks aren’t air conditioned.
Wonderful little postcard of a coastal town. Keep going west till you hit the rocky hiking trails - that’s where the magic begins.
Great place to sit out in the late afternoon sun by the water and have a beer and some smoked seafood.
Tiny little bed and breakfast that is right on the main drag. Room was great but had to share a bathroom which sucks. What it lacks in amenities it makes up for in charm and quaintness.
A fantastic spot for lunch on the waterfront. Good seafood and drinks on the boardwalk.
